This document is a petition expressing concern for severe overcrowding at the St. Louis School. Gentlemen,
I am quite in harmony with the parents and friends of the St. Louis School. The enrollment at present is 71 and there are other families to move into the village soon. The crowded conditions makes it impossible for me to give the children as much attention as they need and naturally they are not getting as much out of the work as they should.
I feel that the patrons are willing to do their part in getting an extra room and another teacher.
I am doing my best and laboring under the present situation.

To the Loudoun County School Board
We the undersigned beg leave to say the school in St Louis is over crowded with seventy one (71) scholars enrolled & there is a large attendance at all times. As conditions are not sanitary with three scholars at each desk.
We are asking if the school board will give us an extra room and primary teacher for the next school term.
If you consider this kindly write back on what terms we can get one. We are willing to do all we can to help in this matter as we feel it is absolutely necessary.
We are herewith enclosing the Teachers report and we are sure you will see that it is absolutely necessary trusting that this will meet with your approval we are the interested Parents of St Louis school. Kindly answer to
