This petition, submitted by patrons and supporters of the Leesburg Colored School, requests that Mary E.R. Waters and Annie E. Harris be teachers of record for the 1932-1933 school term. A total of 86 individuals signed the petition and someone wrote down in a corner that 6 of them are white and 80 are colored. The six white petitioners all signed the same page which contains only their signatures. This petition reflects community support across racial lines.
