To the School Board of Loudoun County,
Leesburg, Va.
Gentlemen:--
We the undersigned wish to register a protest in making any change in the present arrangement of caring for the children in and around Waterford of high school age. The arrangement suggested at the last meeting of your Board of sending our children to Lovettsville, Va. is unsatisfactory to us and we wish to continue sending our Children to Leesburg, Va. in the manner in which they are now being sent. We have no fault to find with the Lovettsville School but feel that the Leesburg school is better equipped and is the logical place to send them from all viewpoints.

Title: Petitions (white schools) Year Unknown Waterford Protest Sending kids to Lovettsville
Description: This letter, addressed to the School Board of Loudoun County in Leesburg, Virginia, reveals the sentiments of a group of white parents regarding the education of their high school-aged children in the early 20th century. The signatories express their strong objection to a proposed change that would see their children sent to Lovettsville instead of Leesburg for schooling. They make it clear that they believe Leesburg is better equipped and more suitable for their children from all perspectives.
