TO THE HON. O. L. EMERICK, DIVISION SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS AND THE MEMBERS OF THE SCHOOL BOARD OF LOUDOUN COUNTY:
We, the undersigned citizens of Woodburn neighborhood, hereby respectfully petition that the Public School at Woodburn be continued and hereby express our protest against the closing of the same.
This past session this school had an enrollment of thirty or more pupils and we, the patrons and citizens of this neighborhood, are satisfied with our present accommodations and believe that the best interest of our community and of our children will be subserved by the maintenance of this school rather than by undertaking to transport our children to Lincoln–which we understand is contemplated by the School Authorities.
