Miss Mildred Nokes,
Sterling, Virginia.
My dear Miss Nokes:
The request for the opening of a school at Nokes next year was presented to our board today but no action was taken. Our decision about opening the school must be based very largely on the attendance of last year. This was twelve for the year whereas the law requires twenty.
I regret that we cannot provide a school for these children.
