During a meeting of Waterford citizens, a committee was appointed to review Loudoun County Survey Recommendations. The committee opposed consolidation, busing to consolidated schools, and employing itinerant teachers. The committee supports using zones to increase community school attendance, retaining Waterford High School as an accredited high school, and combining neighboring communities (Wheatland, Paeonian Springs, and Clarks Gap) into Waterford if consolidation must occur. In support of Waterford High, they cite their long history, taxes paid, and words in support of education by Governor Pollard.
